Learn how to submit test requests and train your staff on using the Request Management System (RMS).

Tip: Before you begin training, you should bookmark the Runtriz Portal on all front desk computers that way it can be quickly access by staff.

Train Your Staff

First, watch this quick training video.


Now practice using the BW Platform and the Portal's Request Management System (RMS) with your staff. Simply use your own name (or an alias) and a random room number to submit a request on the BW Platform. Always mark test requests with "test" in free text/additional comment forms.

Using a variety of devices, submit at least 3-5 requests for each of the following:

  • Check-In
  • Make a Request
  • Maintenance/Repair
  • Extra Amenities
  • Feedback

Staff Engagement

Make sure your staff is proactive in mentioning the platform by using the RMS SendApp.

RMS SendApp

  1. Go to Request Management System (RMS).

  2. Enter in guest’s Email or Phone Number into the Send Guest Application input box.

  3. Click the send button.

  4. Verify that guest has received the message and clicks the link to be redirected to the Hotel Platform.

Ensure staff is involved and active

To achieve excellent guest experience, it’s important that staff are responding to requests in an effective and time efficient manner. The average response time to a request should never be longer than ten minutes.
